Legend Studio inviting entries for first Film Funding Project

Legend Studio  is now inviting entries for the first Film Funding Project 2012 of its Short-film production grants program. Applications will be accepted from June 1st, 2012 through July 31st, 2012, and decisions will be announced in October 2012.

 

Legend Studio Film  Funding Project will  award thirty to forty grants per year, of up to Rs. 30,000 each, to filmmakers whose work ‘exhibits originality, experimental and  in depth storytelling’.

Funds received from grants are used to support completion of film production and the films will be sole property of Legend Studio and will have International premier at different International and domestic film festivals. Such films will also be distributed and marketed by Legend Studio.

Legend Studio Film Funding Initiative accepts grant applications from Indian filmmakers only.

Application deadline: July 31st, 2012

In its continuing effort to promote original idea and regional films by independent filmmakers from India, the Legend Studio Film Funding is pleased to announce Call for Applications for the year 2012.

Applications are accepted for short film, both fiction and documentary projects by directors from India. Applications may be submitted from June 1, 2012 through July 31, 2012, and granting decisions are announced in October 2012.

Current Project

Legend Studio, Manipur is promoting 40 films during  financial year 2012. We are inviting filmmakers/artists/ crew members to submit thier theme/concept/resume to the casting director (castings@legendstudio.org). This programme is for Indian filmmakers only. In the next phase we would invite International filmmakers too. These films would be screened and  marketed  by Legend Studio worldwide. Last date for accepting application is October 31st, 2012.
