Rules  and Regulations:

1. Every short film produced between the period (September 2009 till March 2012) and up to 30 minutes long can register in the First Imphal International Short Film Festival 2012.
2. No work or artist will be either discriminated or favored by their country of origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, or by their economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.
3. For equality of opportunities, whichever the original format (film, analogical video, digital video, animation), all the films will be evaluated in the same standard digital format.
4. All non-English foreign films / regional Indian films must have English sub-titles.
5. Film must be submitted on DVD in the AVI/MPEG FORMAT ONLY (Festival Management will not be responsible if film is not screened due to problem with the DVD).
6. Along with the film, three stills of the film and a 60 second promo of the film should be sent for promotional activities.
7. Late deadline for registration is March 31st, 2012.
8. All films which are selected / nominated for the Festival, will be informed by emails & listed on our Web site www.imphalfilmfestival.com.
9. Each entry will be accompanied by non-refundable fees of 1000/- for Indian category & US $ 50 for International category By Cash / Demand Draft / Cheque payable Deposited In Favor of “M/S Lai Infotech” payable at Imphal before 31st March  2012.
10. Preview DVD should be labeled with the title, running-time and contact email and phone number.
11. Fresh copy of DVD is required of selected film for final screening at the festival
12. Publicity stills - If your film is selected send publicity stills for promotions.
13. IISFF 2012 Festival organization has right to use the entries / send / selected / nominated films, DVD and materials from the film for Festival promotional purposes.
14. The festival authorities will have the right to retain DVD copies of each film as part of our festival library & which can be screened in different cities for media educational & non-commercial purpose.
15. The excerpts from any film entered in the festival may be shown on the Indian / international television / local network / internet etc. for promotional / publicity purposes,
16. Submitting multiple entries in any categories, however, each entry requires a separate DVD, entry form and entrance fee.
17. The code of conduct will have to be strictly followed by the entrants; misbehavior will lead to disqualification & legal actions.
18. Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over. Participation in the festival implies acceptance of these al rules.
19. The decision of the management is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. Participation in the Imphal International Short Film Festival 2012 implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.
