Go for Low Budget Film

Entertainment should be accepted in all format. Sometimes, a million budget film went unnoticed. Several low budget films have proved successful in Hollywood as well as International cinema. In order to have huge profit and Return of Investment (ROI), filmmakers should now focus on producing low budget films. However, making such films need careful attention and planning to meet the International standard and the viral marketing. Quite often, small films could walk the red carpet in International Film festival circuits and proved to be a fortune bag for the producers. Now decide whether or not you really want to produce a film. Theme and subject should direct you to prepare a nice story. Watch these documentaries before making films

Many of the films in this “must see” list are cited repeatedly in this book because they break new ground for their time, take special risks, or embody specially significant aspects of documentary language. Each handles significant subject matter too, and each will be a memorable experience.1. Robert Flaherty, Nanook of the North (USA, 1922). Social Innovation from Legend Studio

Legend Studio is focussing on environment and social cause. With this mission, Legend Studio Manipur have successfully organised Worldwide Save Loktak Campaign and World Environment Day in Manipur. We are also organising social awareness, farm and sustenable livelihood through employment generation scheme. We have initiated a campaign called TEACH MANIPUR as well. The project will go till 2015. A School of Film is coming up to train the new talents.

Current Project

Legend Studio  produced  a short feature film in Manipuri  entitled "Mobile Job". This 20 minute short film potrays the social issue related to mobile in the region. Mobile has been used as a powerful tool to exploit young girls (mostly between the age of  13-15 years) by the older women. These girls are easily lured by rich married men and there are several cases of domestic violence. Produced and Directed by Mohen Naorem, the Director of Photograpy is Shyamkishwor, Screenplay by Mohen Naorem, Assistant Director is the youngest Director in the state, Thokchom Jolly Devi (aged 15 years). Main casts include Rashmi, Philips, Naobi, Priyadarshini and  Nongpokleima.
